Another view of the formal dining room

We have just painted the formal dining room with Martha Stewart "rainwater' and the adjoinging rooms were painted with Martha Stewart, Toasted Marshmellow.

Formal Dining room plus two buffetts and a table that seats 8

The formal Dining room is to the right as you enter the home, across from the entry (see entry pic below). The amazing thing about the dining room is the soaring 20 feet tall ceiling with double windows providing lots of natural light. Notice we have actually three large buffets and a table that seats 8 and there is still lots of room. We love having two dining area's in this home, formal and informal and of course morning coffee out on the Sun Porch.

Master Bedroom Entry view

When you walk into our Master Bedroom you are immediatly struck the spaciousness of the room. A full wall of windows banks one side looking out to our Roses in the English Garden. We have a California King Bed, the largest bed, with the largest frame you can buy and two huge end tables and an overstuffed chair, all on the wall facing the large dresser (not shown). This bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a jetted oval tub, and a walk in shower and a large walk in closet.

Our Master Bedroom with tray ceilings is big enough to have a California King Bed, two HUGE side tables, a large dresser (not shown) and a big chair - you'll love this room. And if you want to keep the solid wood bedroom set so we don't have to move it - it's negotiable.

I love this huge room, it's great for entertaining, plus we have a Sunroon and a bonus room upstairs. This house has REAL Hardwood floors, not laminate.

The Heated and Cooled Sunroom

Oh, how we love having morning coffee in this room. November, through May, this is the room you will find us in - from Early Morning, to late evening. Completely cooled if we want to use it in the Summer, and of course heated for cold winter evenings - what we prefer is to just leave the windows open to the screens and hear the evening sounds, and in the morning, the songs of the birds.

I've always loved light and airy living rooms

There is something about having a light and airy living room, that makes a wonderful first impression.

Sunny Entry

I love the fact that all the main rooms in the home have REAL HARDWOOD floors. But, I also love the tiled entry. It's great for easy clean up. And it's big enough to feel spacious the minute you walk through the front door. That Red Bench is nearly 9 feet long - so you get a feel of the large entry.

What is so Great About 231 Island Creek Lane

My family loved 231 Island Creek Lane, from the minute we saw the pictures on the sales brochure. We bought the home off the pictures and only did the preview to make sure the home in reality lived up to what we'd seen on the pictures. It was better! We love the open, light, loft like feel of the soaring ceilings in the living room and dining room. We love how the Master Bedroom is on one side of the first floor and the other two bedrooms on the other side. We love, absolutly love the family room/bonus upstairs away from the first impressions of our guests.

The location of the house also sold us, we are within walking distance to the Library, and two Grocery Stores. And the Ace Hardware. And at least 10 restaurants. Who could ask for more!

The one unique feature of 231 Island Creek Lane, which made it stand apart was/is the SUNROOM, (heated and cooled with it's own system). We love having morning coffee surrounded by light and greenery.

Why we are moving: The only reason we are moving is because we own another home on Tybee Island, and our teenage daughter now wants to be near the beach. And if we don't use Island Creek Lane, we don't need to keep it.

I know whomever buys 231 Island Creek Lane, will love it as much as we have.
